The Upumeka is the tomb of Toyomi Tsuchihara, a respected government officer. His tomb-monument was built in honor of his contribution to the development of Tarama Island. Its arched stone gate and ceiling-shaped stone tomb tell the high architectural technology that went into the building of this monument. This tomb-monument is Prefecture treasure.
